About Me

I am a driven young professional currently working in sales with a company that specializes in all areas of online marketing. My job is to help businesses see the potential that a stronger web presence can secure for their company. I have been in Charlotte since I finished school and love all the new people I am meeting and the excitement of the city.

My experiences in the past have shaped me to be the person who I am today. I can directly thank two organizations for the most of my development as a person: Distance 4 Dreams and Sigma Phi Epsilon.

I have found that when I find something I really enjoy, I devote my whole heart to it. That has been the case with Distance 4 Dreams. Distance 4 Dreams raises money to sponsor the wish of a child with a life threatening illness, most of the time to Disney World, all while the group trains to run in the Disney Marathon Weekend. After being connected to the group through a friend and a year as a member I decided it was time to give back. In that second year of my involvement, I had the privilege of being the co-coordinator of the group and met some of my closest friends. Some of our most significant accomplishments include the first expansion of the organization to multiple campuses, a 200% growth in membership, and a 25% increase in fundraising revenues to $15,000.

I credit most of my leadership training, and the basis for a portion of my success thus far to my fraternity, Sigma Phi Epsilon. My offices held include Vice President, President, and New Member Educator. The most rewarding experience was not a position held, but Ruck Leadership Academy. As one of 160 students selected nationally, we were guided through our own individual leadership development according to the programming developed by Jim Kouzes and Barry Posner in The Leadership Challenge. Our facilitators included CEOs, lawyers, and other executives of some Fortune 500 companies. Their advice was invaluable.

My sales experience ranges from Internships all the way to the National Collegiate Sales Competition. Training for the Sales Competition has helped me in all areas of my professional outlook. Besides the 100+ hours of sales training and mock sales calls, our coach, Tony Krystofik, helped to grow us in all areas professionally. For more about my specific sales experience, please take a look at my resume.

In my spare time I have decided to take on the challenge of running a marathon in all 50 states. The first race of the series will be this December, the Thunder Road Marathon in my new home of Charlotte, followed by my second appearance in the Goofy Challenge in Disney World in January.

That is about as concise as I can make the last four years of my life, but I am always looking for my next challenge. If you have made it this far in reading, I would love to hear from you. Please feel free to leave a comment, email me at bermanbt@gmail.com, or call me:
