I saw this article last week relating the Q2 market share percentages for the different mobile platforms. It seems many cell upgrades are moving to android units. I remember about 6 months ago when Apple CEO Steve Jobs laughed at a question about pending threat from Android, reminding the audience at the conference that BlackBerry and Windows Mobile still had more significant market share.

I'm sure customers irritation with "more bars in more places"... that don't work, has something to do with this growth in Verizon and Sprint smart phones.

The smart phone market is still growing, and so is the consumers desire for the connected life. It is more important now for marketers to acknowledge (if they haven't yet) so that they can harness that desire and provide solutions that make users lives easier.

Kudos goes to Chase Bank for their harnessing this with Instant Deposits on iPhones. Now when will the app be releasing for Android and BlackBerry?
